| Erste Gruppe was the first group formed within Stein Collectors International. From our creation in 1967, the chapter has been known to include a diverse group of collectors of beer steins and related items. Our active roster is about 60 members in SoCal.. |
| What really separates this group from many that have a specific item orientation is the warm comradeship among the members, and active beer stein collectors and trading of steins: also, their thirst for knowledge about the stein's history, the history about the beer stein production company, and any associated artist in the production process are important to our members. |
| Our general meetings typically include a social period, a substantial beer stein sales table, great home cooking, quality beverages, and a meeting to discuss local activity within the chapter in SoCal. |
| Our thirst for knowledge is displayed by comments from guest speakers. Beyond that we have within our group individuals who have been published on subjects ranging from Character Steins, Mettlach Steins, Franz Ringer Steins, Ludwig Hohlwein Steins, and the works of artist Heinrich Schlitt to name a few. |
